The Soil Moisture Sensor Prong for BBC microbit is a sensor board that can be mounted directly on a BBC micro:bit to monitor the moisture present in the soil. The two conductive pins are placed in the ground. Any water or moisture in the ground will conduct and give an analog voltage that can be read by the BBC micro:bit The pins are powered from the 3V supply of the BBC micro:bit. Use either the USB or JST connector of the BBC micro:bit to power the circuit The board is designed so that the BBC micro:bit can be screwed in using 3x M3 nuts and 3x M3 screws. Insert the screws through the P1, 3V and GND holes on the board and BBC micro:bit and then use the M3 nuts to fasten them together on the back of the BBC micro:bit. Alternatively, crocodile clips can be used to connect between the Prong and the BBC micro:bit When mounted on the Prong moisture sensor, the micro:bit can be encoded via any of the micro:bit processors, such as the Microsoft MakeCode processor Features: Measurement of soil moisture levels Directly connects to the microbit Use in conjunction with the Mi:Power board to provide power and audio alarm Program with any microbit code editor
