This course will prepare you to introduce STEAM into your classroom, as well as build student confidence as using LEGO Education SPIKE Prime. You will experience how you can introduce Hands-on approach-based lessons that can support your students in both achieving curriculum goals and reinforcing 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking and problem solving in a collaborative environment The training aims to familiarise participants with the basics of LEGO Education SPIKE Prime hardware, software and curricula. The trainees will build a series of machines, program them and solve problems using skills from the STEAM and programming spectrum, following exactly the same approach and resources that they will use in their classroom to introduce their students to STEAM using SPIKE Prime The course is designed to be engaging and fun with educational experiences that provide a fundamental introduction to LEGO Education’s approach to modern education as well as the concept of learning through play. Each activity is followed by a discussion on the methodology, its application to the curriculum, its implementation and differentiation in the classroom and to the knowledge levels of the students To support the participants’ confident success we provide time and guidance for them to design their own first lessons using the learning materials and teaching approach. At the end of the training, participants are fully prepared to successfully introduce and implement LEGO Education SPIKE Prime in their classroom
