The camera unit can be used to capture high-definition video as well as photos. It is capable of 3280×2464 pixel static images and also supports 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p60/90 video It connects to the Pi via one of the small slots on the top surface of the board and uses the special CSI interface, designed specifically for interfacing with cameras.
