This MICS6814 3-in-1 gas sensor module allows the user to measure changes in gas concentration including carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ammonia (NH3). It is a breakout I2C compatible Breakout Garden The MICS6814 sensor includes three semiconductor gas sensors in a single package and can detect three different groups of gases listed in the data sheet as reducing, oxidizing and NH3. The main gases/vapors the sensor detects are carbon monoxide (reducing), nitrogen dioxide (oxidizing) and ammonia (NH3), but it is also sensitive to others such as hydrogen, ethanol and hydrocarbons It can be used for qualitative measurements of changes in gas concentrations, so you can tell in general whether the three groups of gases are increasing or decreasing This split uses a Nuvoton microcontroller, which handles I2C and analog-to-digital conversion, as well as controlling the sensor’s built-in heater and user-controlled RGB LED. The LED could be used to indicate when the sensor is working or to visually inform you of changes in gas concentration.
